Andréanne Doyon

Associate Professor

BA, MA (Planning, SCARP), PhD

My research fits within the fields of governance and planning, and sustainability transitions (socio- technical) and transformations (socio-ecological). I have a relatively wide breath of topics and themes I engage with, including resilience, climate change, sustainability, nature-based solutions, housing, energy, equity and justice, and research practice.

Although, planning sits at the centre of these, as this represents my disciplinary training. A strong motivator for my research is the desire to improve planning– the discipline and the profession – and research. As someone who is interested in processes of change, I both study and aim to facilitate change.

By employing a planning lens to my work, I look at systems and methods that enable, or are barriers to, change. In addition to scholarly research, I work with practitioners and organizations to advance planning, equity, and climate change responses.
